Replacing hardware Replacing the CPU heatsink and system fan Attention: The heatsink becomes very hot when the system is on. To replace the CPU heatsink and system fan: 1. Disconnect the power cables from the motherboard. 29 Remove the 4 screws that secure the CPU heat sink and system fan to "Removing the computer cover". 2. Chapter 8. Refer to the motherboard. 3. Never touch the heatsink with any metal or with your hands. Remove the computer cover.
