This could well be a corrupted driver. Firstly check the cable is correctly fitted. Then check that the paper is installed and then run a diagnostic test. There are instructions in the user guide downloadable from this link:http://www.manualslib.com/products/Epson-2180-Lq-B-W-Dot-Matrix-Printer-49425.html

If the test says nothing is wrong then re-install the driver and try again.
