How Do I Change Source From Antenna To What Is On Dvd Player?

I just asked about not being able to watch DVD signal on this Samsung TV anymore. I switch to AV on the TV since the DVD is connected to the side tri-color jacks when trying the DVD player (2 of them, neither give a clear image nor sound). Since the signal on the TV is distorted, I can't see the on-screen menu for the DVD player, I assume it has the same settings from the last time it was used.
