Troubleshooting The Cd Section
CD Refuses to play and displays the message"Disc not finalized" even though I have tried new cd's.The carousel works just fine and it looks like the laser cant read any cd. I am very competent in taking the unit apart,but I dont have any schematic diagram for it.Any help will be greatly appreciated. I have not used the cd section for a very long time,so I wonder if it has anything to do with dirt on the laser eye.Thank you for your time.SP.

Yes it is possibly a dirty lens. I suggest trying a cd cleaner to remove any debris from the laser.
