there has been on in the last year. the current version is 0142.0001.

go under "Drivers and Software info" then put your model number in the "Projection TV" slot

Yes,there are plenty of upgrades done to to days Hitachi television sets. Plasma as well as LCD TV sets.
What I would suggest is looking a different Hitachi TV sets then arriving at conclusion.
