This is a rear projection TV using three picture tubes (CRT) to develop the picture. There is a red, green and blue tube, each get their respective section of the picture then they bounce off a mirror to the screen assembly. since each tube cannot be in the same location the picture from each tube will not align properly, so the geometry of each tube is modified with the convergence circuit. this is aligned with the cross to put each color on the same point. If this circuit fails then portions of the screen, if not all of it, will have a 3D appearance (but each of the three colors will be focused. to fix this problem, expect $350-$400.

If this is not the symptom then you might have a focus problem. The high voltage section, the focus circuit or even a CRT can cause this problem. the pair costs can vary since the price of parts are so different. Expect labor to be $225-$275 and parts can be from $20-$200 (in home repairs will be higher).
