2.4 System memory 2.4.1 Overview The motherboard comes with four Double Data Rate 3 (DDR3) Dual Inline Memory Modules (DIMM) slots. Recommended memory configurations ASUS ESC500 G2 2-11 A DDR3 module is notched differently from a DDR or DDR2 module. DO NOT install a DDR or DDR2 memory module to the DDR3 slot.

Disconnect the chassis fan cable from the CHA_FAN1 connector on the motherboard. 2. Hold the system fan with one hand while removing the system screws. 3. Locate and remove four system fan screws at the rear panel. Keep the screws for later use. To remove the system fan: 1. Remove the system fan, and then set aside.
