How Do I Interface Sony Dsr-45 To Macbook Pro And Final Cut Pro Using Firewire?

If you haven't already, I would talk to Sony Support, so they can walk you through setup/installation/troubleshooting. Alternatively, you can set up an install appointment with a local technician to help you get things going.
