Camera Freezes

WHEN I TRY TO VIEW PICTURES I HAVE TAKEN THE CAMERA FREEZES AND A GREEN LIGHT FLASHES AND WON'T EVEN TURN OFF.  I HAVE TO REMOVE THE BATTERY FOR IT TO UNFREEZE.
