When I Take A Picture Why Do I Get Unrecognised File Format?

It means the memory card is corrupted. You can try the follwing steps in this page to resolve it:

If you really need your pictures and they are not opening even after copying them to the computer, you could try this method first. But if your device doesn't have firmware updates(Go to support section of Kodak's website and look for downloads), then I am afraid, trying Kodak's way is your only option.
