Hp Envy Dv7-7230us Flashing Caps Lock

I recently attempted to repair this laptop listed in the title. The fan would not spin and found that there was large amounts of dust or hair inside blocking the fan from moving. It was replaced with a new fan ordered off of amazon. After putting it back together and finding that the newly ordered fan does not work I had re installed the previous fan that came with the laptop and found it still works. Now the laptop has a flashing caps lock code, but it just quickly flashes over and over and has not pause. Since I cannot diagnose with HP support as to what this error code is I can only guess that it has something to do with the APU as it runs on the AMD A8 series APU. The flashing on the caps lock will flash over and over again on and off quickly with no pause and does this till the laptop shuts off. There is no screen display except for a split second. Can you explain what this flashing code is? Could it be the APU or something else?

It appears that you have installed a non compatible processor. That is why it is not working. On startup it is not passing the POST.

The APU that you named as the installed one is not one the list of compatible APUs. The image source is the Maintenence & Service guiide for your notebook.
