What Was The Origal Selling Price For A Hp95lx?

what was the origal selling price for a hp95lx? I just found my 10 yr old and 7 yr old boys puzzling over my old hp95lx. 7yr old said "Is it a video game?" 10 yr old said in his big brother, all-knowing manner, "No, Max! It's a type writer!"

It sold for a suggested retail price of $699 (U.S.), roughly double the cost of HP's then most sophisticated handheld calculator.
