Note that these steps were located on discussion forums. I have not tried any since I do not have a 110. My last iPaq was an H5450 which gave up the ghost in 2002.
====================
Programs may be running in the background. Stop these programs to free up running memory.
Follow these steps to stop all background programs.- On the Today screen, tap Start > Settings .
- From the System tab, tap Memory .
- On the Running Programs tab, tap Stop All .
- Tap OK .
==================
These next steps will perform a hard reset. Not all will work. A hard reset will reset the device back to factory so be aware that you will lose settings and may lose applications.
On this unit, the reset button is on top on the right-hand side. Right about in the middle.
1) Power the IPAQ off by holding down the END key
2) Then hold down the center of the 4-way navigation key and power on the IPAQ again while continuing to do so.
3) You will see a screen that asks you if you want to perform a hard reset. Select YES. The IPAQ will reboot with original factory settings.
------------------------
Hard-reset is done the same way on almost all (modern) HP/Compaq iPAQs:
When the unit is turned on, you press and hold the Power, Calendar, and iPAQ Task Manager buttons for about 3-5 seconds. This is intentionally designed to be a little awkward (since the hard-reset will wipe the iPAQ clean and "reinstall" WinCE from the ROM) - I've found the easiest way to do it is to hold the unit upside-down and use both hands to press the buttons. When properly done, the screen image will slowly fade away and the unit will make a sad little chirpy noise or two before shutting down. You will then need to press the soft-reset button to reactivate it.
----------------------------------------
I know this works with some of the newer iPAQ's, Do the following:
1. Press & Hold the Power Button.
2. Press & Hold the Reset button for about 5 seconds (the screen should blank).
