Mapping And Topo Mapping
I just bought a striker 7cv with the understanding that it had mapping on the unit , it just shows a white screen with a boat and even tho I can do a very limited mapping on it, it doesn't show and contour lines or any reference to where I am like a map. Can I install better maps or do I need to do something to the unit to fix this problem

Hi,
This is the information I saw for Garmin Striker 7cv. In this case topo can't be added it's just for marking your points to return at a future date.
A High-Sensitivity GPS will allow you locate and mark your current position, along with marking points such as docks, boat ramps and more. However detailed mapping is not included and cannot be added, this feature simply enables you to view your position in relation to marked spots and even make returning to them at a later date easier. The Internal GPS will also provide speed over ground right to your STRIKER's display.
