Black Cartridge
As prompted, I replaced the black ink cartridge, took the protective cover off, but it won't print black now. There is ink in the cartridhe and I ran the deep cleaning program. Colour still prints but not black. First time this has happened. Dave.

If you have both cartidges (or ink tanks)nproperly installed, with ink in both, you should be able to print back as well as color. You'll find instalation guidance here. The only other possibility is that the cartidge or computer is defective or in need of repair.
