I have a Samsung Moment that I got from Sprint. Battery life is terrible and nothing has helped. The battery has been replaced, all unnecessary aps are disabled and still it can't go 24 hours without running down.....and that is on standby - no calls!!
It also is miserable to talk to someone on as if you hold it too close to your head it will hang up or dial someone else or any other number of tricks. They tell me that there is a proximity sensor in it that should prevent this problem but that appears to be nothing more than a bunch of road apples. Several other people with this phone have the same issues that I have.
I've had my last Samsung phone.
