This module is marked with the tab in one direction. Tip The screw hole is keyed so it into the empty memory slot. Replacing Notebook Components 6 Pull the memory module out of the slot. 7 Hold the new or replacement module at a 30-degree angle and press it can only be inserted in the memory bay. 8 Replace the memory bay cover, then tighten the cover screws. 9 Replace the keyboard screw.
