How Do A Reset On My Dvd Player?

In the process of of doing a re setup of my DVD player I apparently chose the wrong TV type. Upon doing that the picture on the TV went into a verticle roll that will not stop in order to change the TV type. And what would be the correct TV type for a Hitachi 57S500 rear projection TV?
