Step 1
Turn on your Toshiba television, if it is off.
Step 2
Press the “Pic Size” button on the television’s remote control. The Picture size menu opens.
Step 3
Press the down arrow button on the remote control to select the screen width you want: Full, TheaterWide 1, TheaterWide 2, TheaterWide 3, Native, 4:3 or Dot by Dot. These settings provide a broad range of widths and aspect ratios, depending on the content you are viewing. See your device's manual for details.
Adjusting Via Picture Control
Step 1
Turn on your Toshiba television, if it is off, and press the “Menu” button on your television’s remote control. The Picture control highlights.
Step 2
Press the down arrow button and scroll to “Theater Settings.” Press the left arrow button to select the screen width you want: Full, TheaterWide 1, TheaterWide 2, TheaterWide 3, Native, 4:3, Normal or Dot by Dot.
Step 3
Scroll with the down arrow button to “Done” to highlight it and press the “Enter” button on the remote control to confirm the screen width change.
Step 4
Press the “Exit” key to exit the menu system.
Tip
If a screen width within the Pic Size or Picture component is grayed out, the width is not available for the type of video, broadcast, cable/satellite or presentation you are displaying. Not all screen widths are available for all programming.
