'no Signal' Message On Monitor

when I start up my computer, everything sounds normal but the monitor is blank except for a brief 3 seconds to display the message "No Signal" then goes blank again. I have disconnected all of the cords, checked for loose connections, and held the turned off tower button off for 30 seconds and then reconnected everything to try again, but it keeps happening.  Please help.

Either your monitor or your graphics card is dying. To figure out which one, connect your computer to a different, known good monitor and see if you can get a sustained screen if can get the image on a the second screen then it is you monitor or if the second monitor that you try is also showing you the same message then it could me you graphics card
