Having A Difficult Time Connecting Apple Tv 4k To Yamaha Rx-a680.
I have a new Apple TV 4k and trying to set up via HDMI interface on back of Yamaha RX-A680. This worked fine before. The Yamaha Receiver is professionally wired to a Samsung Series 7 55 inch TV.

You state that you want to connect an Apple 4k Tv to your device. It may be that you need to check on the connections available on the TV and adapt these to fit the Yamaha. There is a monitor output on the Yamaha but that is not to the HDMI standard if you use the Yamaha as a source. If the Mac Tv is supplying the audio it needs to have an ARC port to enable control of the audio from the TV. Hope that goes someway to solving your problem.
