Self-clean Failed. Error Code E1 F5. Display Is All Lit Up. Do I Need New Board?

The self clean failed about half-way through. The door will not unlock even after remove power. The circuit board display now has everything lit up with the "display" slightly brighter than all the rest. The display area got really hot during the clean cycle and I feel that the board got fried. Electronics and heat don't mix well together as a rule. I have already replaced this board once due to sensor issues (sensors turned out to be fine - board was faulty). This is getting to be a very expensive oven!

The E1- F5 error is a door lock error.
The control (TIMER) has likely failed in this instance - BUT...
Sometimes when you disconnect power to a range and reconnect it the electronic range control gets confused.
You should disconnect power again for 15 seconds and reconnect and see if that helps.
If it doesn't cure the E1- F5 error hold the bake button in until E0- F2 appears in the display.
This is the error for a stuck button on the keypad and is the way to clear the memory of the electronic range control.
Sometimes these work, but if the control has failed it won't make any difference
