Connecting To New Computer
What options are there for connecting my external hard drive to my newer computer? The computer does not seem to have a FireWire 400 port. I was using a cable with FireWire 400 ends to connect to my old computer.

WD5000H1CS-00: USB 2.0 / FireWire400 / eSATA are the drive interfaces. Since you didn't mention your PC model I can't suggest the best interface. You should connect the fastest connector by cable or through a adapter for the interface you choose.

Hi woodygrantham!
This drive has three interface options you can choose from - FireWire 400, which you have used so far, eSATA and USB 2.0. Here's a link to the product if you want to take a look:

Depending on your current PC confguratin you can choose which one of these to use. Once you plug it in the new computer you should be able to use it and transfer data to and from the external.
