Problems With Sound

It looks like my computer is connected with the headset, but no sound emmits from the headset. I know it is not my computer as I have connected it with other devices and I also connected my phone to the headset and the same thing occurred. I could even start and stop my book from the headset that I was streaming on my phone, but I had no sound. I made sure that these headphones were the default device and no other devices, nor the speakers were currently connected.
