New Memory Card Shows Memory Full. What Do I Do To Correct?

If you have verified that there is indeed no data on the drive, assuming you are on windows and have a card reader, follow the steps(even if you don't have a card reader, some cameras will allow you to see their memory card as a seperate drive, Just check My Computer to see if it is listed there)
Right click on the listed drive, and select format
If quick format is selected, unselect it, File system can be the default option, if nothing is selected FAT32 works with most if not all models. Hit enter(please make sure the card is not write-protected, there could be a little lock switch on the card itself)
Format should be done in a few minutes, check if it has recovered the free space.
