The Power Status (red Light) Stays Solid. Tv Won't Start.
How would one attempt to see if this problem could be corrected before going inside and seeing if there is anything visibly wrong electronically?

No easy test. I suggest you go here for the likely cause of the problem & the easy repair procedures. If I fixed the caps on my 2 Samsungs you can too.
