My Viewfinder Has An Error Message, '! Cannot Display This File'

I used a CF card during a session, which I formatted before the session. I took 75 pictures on the card and could see/review them on the viewfinder during the session. However, once I was home and tried to import the pictures, only the first showed up and the rest had this error message. Now when I put the card back into my camera, the pictures will not show up at all, except for the 1st. I have taken about 30 more pictures this morning to see if it would allow me to view the pictures and they appear normally. Is there any way to retrieve the raw images of the 74 files?
