Using Different Songs For Ringtones

I purchased my HUAWEI 8652 last week. I want to use ringtones from Journey, John Michael Montgomery and others for certain contacts. I have downloaded one song. It is in the Play Music App but I cannot get it into the ringtone area or into my contacts. I was able to this with my dumb phones, so Iam fairly certain a smart phone should be able to do it. Please provide me guidelines for accomplishing this.
