If you are upgrading, then firstly verify that the laptop will support the drive you are thinking of using. If the drive you have is working OK then you need to connect your new drive to an accessory widely available which allows external drives to be fitted to the USB ports. You also need some disk-copy software which is widely available as well. www.seagate.com offer a disk duplicating software package free for replacing your old drive with a larger one. This is the link to the manuals for the laptop via Help-owl. These will give you the service guide explaining how to remove and replace the hard drive.

If your drive has failed then you will need to have a rebuild disk to restore your software.
