Why Can't I Upgrade To Windows 10

I just bought an HP Envy 700-216 with Windows 8.1. Why can't I upgrade to Windows 10. I don't want to shell out $30 for Smart Friend when others reserve it for free.

Just set your windows updates to automatic & when Microsoft considers it's time for your system to be entered into the queue for update it will happen. It's not yet tome for the roll out.
