Fan Creaking Noise

Hi, I've owned this laptop for 3 years now and in the past few days the laptop fan starts to creak with noises. It used to be a regular whirring sound but now it makes a loud noise that is intolerable. I tried cleaning it but it didn't help and I couldn't figure out how to remove the fan to check the bearings. What should I do?

The bearings are dying in the fan.  The only solution is to replace it.  You can get a repalcement here for about $40: http://www.laptoprepairco.com/searchmodel/searchmodelresults.asp?brand=gateway&model=m-6&txt=M-6000%20Series

I have been unable to locate a service manual for you that shows how to disassemble the laptop.

You can attempt the replacement yourself or have a tech do it.  I'd recommend having a tech handle the fix.
