Frigidaire Fdb2410hic Dishwasher Will Not Go Into Wash Cycle

The dishwasher will come on and you can hear the water entering the tub after a few 30 seconds or more it will shut down. After waiting a while you can hear the water draing out and then a while after that it will start filling again and then as before it will shut down again. This repeated and the it will go through the drying cycle. The green indicator light says clean but opening the washer they are still dirty. This unit is only two years and is only used by an elderly couple.Could it be an electronic problem?

Good Afternoon frankcarroll, thank you for your post!

Based on the symptoms you are describing, you may either have a communication error from the main control board or the timer itself may not be operating correctly. Let’s try resetting your dishwasher by flipping the household circuit breaker to the off position. It is important to wait approximately ten minutes and then turn your appliance on. Select an option and allow your dishwasher to complete a cycle. If resetting the power does not correct the issue, then your dishwasher may possibly have a communication with the control board/panel, faulty timer or wiring harness. In this regard, I recommend contacting a professional to make a precise diagnosis to reduce the risk lf unnecessary parts.
