Keep The Laptop Runing Even When The Lid Is Closed.

I'm using a dell st22 monitor as a 2nd. monitor with my dell 1737 laptop and I want to close the laptop lid and keep the computer running to display on the 2nd. monitor.  Is that possible?

labrannen,

You can go into the power options in the control panel. From there click on the section that reads "choose what closing the lid does" on the left hand side. From there you can change the option under "when i close the lid" to do nothing. You will need to have an external mouse and keyboard connected.
