I850 7 Blinking Yellow Lights

I have cleaned the print head in my i850, but the one green, 7 yellow blinking lamp persists. Do you have any other suggestions? (I also initialised the EEprom and reset the waste ink counter.)

Canon describesa similar situation except that instead of "yellow" it characterizes the light as "orange." Perhaps it's the same color. If so, here's Canon's solution:

A service error has occurred.

Resolution:

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Disconnect the power cable.
  3. Open the printer cover.
  4. Check for any orange protective tape or white polystyrene and remove if necessary.
  5. Check that there are no foreign objects in the printer (such as a paper clip) and remove if necessary.
  6. Close the cover.
  7. Reconnect and turn on.

If the above solution has not resolved your error, please contact your nearest Canon authorised service facility....
