Usb 3.0 Conflict, Cannot Complete Setup

Hi, I cannot complete my setup between existing wireless Canon MP620 and new WIN8 laptop as there is a conflict with USB 3.0. I only have 2 USB 3.0 & an HDMI slot on the new laptop. The driver is 64-bit. The error message states "USB composite device cannot work properly with USB 3.0". Is there any way around this eg tweaking the USB settings? Or perhaps I need to purchase a new cable (does anyone know what the name of the square ended connector is, the one that fits into the printer)? Have been on this for the past 5 hours so would really appreciate any guidance...

Tinitin, many thanks for your kind reply. I managed to do a workaround wirelessly, ignoring the instruction manual (and after having found the correct drivers - the Canon websites are not very helpful). Cheers. Rod, UK

According to Cnet.com, your Canon MP620 is only compatible with USB 2.0 interface. You can use a USB 3.0 to 2.0 adapter to convert it and make your printer function properly. In fact, I provided the product links below for your easy purchase.
