Mp770 Does Not Turn On.

My MP770 made a loud pop noise and everything stopped working. Standby light does not illuminate. Fan does not not operate. I pulled it apart and cannot see any physical damage. nothing burnt or scarred. no smell, no smoke. The main power fuse is intact. Any suggestions ???

The pop could have been a capacitor. Without a service manual or wiring diagram it's hard to troubleshoot, but since you already know how to take the projector apart, you could start tracing the power and voltage. Make sure the correct voltage comes into the board, and then trace it going out from the board. My guess would be a capacitor or another component on the board went up. You could contact BenQ and see if they can ship you a replacement board.
