Boot From Usb & Dvd Drive

Tried Esc key when starting but notebook offer only Win8 HDD boot - neither USB nor DVD appear as options in the boot sequence setup. Had a bootable Linux CD in the DVD drive and bootable USB Linux Mint cinammon 16 32-bit plugged at time of booting.. so expected they will appear as options in the boot sequence offered. Neither USB nor DVD drive appeared on the list.

Try to enter the BIOS by pressing F2 button when ASUS logo appears. Look for the drives & boot menu. Then change the boot sequence to the boot device you desire. You will have to re-enter the bios to change it back to the boot HDD. Good luck!
