Asus A88x-pro Motherboard Freezes At Post, Q-code 06
I have a new "out of the box" Asus A88X-Pro motherboard. It will not complete the POST without freezing with the Asus splash page displaying. The Q-Code LED displays "06". Can not use the DEL or F2 to access the BIOS setup.I downloaded the newest BIOS from the ASUS service website and used the FIOS-FLBK button to update the BIOS from the A88XPRO.CAP file I had copied to a USB drive.The DirectKey button functions but system still freezes.Q-Code 06 = Microcode loadingIs there a work around or fix for this issue?

Suspect a CPU problem. I have 2 links for you.

The second link explains the various issues people have had and it refers to the CPU being too fast? However updating the bios could repair it in some cases and i see you have already done that. Maybe try a different CPU which the board will support.
