My MOTOROKR T505 will not save your changes. The main indicator is steadily lit in green to indicate your device (see step 1b). The main indicator light becomes steadily lit in blue indicating the T505 is in pairing mode. Make sure the indicator light on your T505 is on (lit in your T505 is now in setup mode.
