See the battery safety information on page 58. Chapter 3 Boost Your Memory 33 Disconnect the power adapter, Ethernet cable, and any other cords connected to the MacBook to prevent damaging the computer. Installing Additional Memory Installing memory involves removing and replacing the battery. Step 1: Remove the battery. 1 Shut down your MacBook.
