Setting Up Your Mac mini Follow these steps to set up your Mac mini. If there is any protective film around the computer or power adapter, remove it before setting up your Mac mini. 1 Plug the AC cord firmly into a grounded power outlet. 8 Chapter 1 Getting Started Plug the power adapter into the power adapter. Plug the cord from the power adapter into the computer.
