Factory Settings Restore
How do I restore the el1200 to factory settings if windows will not function?

There is no "restore" per say.
- You can do a system restore to an earlier date to try and fix Windows.
- You can use the factory recovery CD to restore it to factory settings IF they gave you a CD. Often there is a recovery partition on the hard disk to manage this. YOU WILL LOSE EVRYTHING ON THE PC if you do this.
- You can manually reinstall Windows. You'll need an install CD for this.
Try hitting F10 during boot up. That should prompt you for the system restore disks. There were three DVDs that came with the system that are required for a system restore. Without the DVDs you will not be able to do the restore.
If you do not have the DVDs they do not appear to be available for purchase. You might find some on eBay or by searching Google.
