My Phone Won't Turn On

i can hold the power button and nothing happens but when I plug in the charger the screen light comes on for 5 seconds and then it turns back off

Try removing the battery and use just the charger to check if you have a faulty battery. If the unit works then re-insert and leave on charge for a few hours to see if it regenerates. If it is not battery related then you have a power issue and a factory reset may solve it. You may want to contact your reseller for advice.However you'll lose all your settings etc if you do a factory reset.
