Hl-t6176s Fan
how do you check out the fan,it dosn't have much volume.
tv works good, just installed a new lamp. just want to be the fan is working ok.

There are three fans that operate in and on these optical engines, and there is a feed-back lead that is attached to each fan to monitor whether the fan is spinning at the correct speed. If a fan stops spinning or is slowed because of lint jamming it or the bearing starting to seize then the microprocessor will get that error voltage and there will be a message on the screen warning you that there is a fan problem, and then the set will shut off. If lint or dust has blocked the vents or the fan blades this cold cause he temperature to rise. there is a sensor to monitor over thermal conditions.
Basically, unless you hear the fan make noise, messages on the screen, or the thermal (over temperature LED indicator lights up), you can assume that the fans are working correctly. It's not a bad idea to vacuum the vent holes on the rear cover to keep them clear a couple times a year,
