How Can I Tell If The Bulb Is The Reason For Bad Picture And How To Replace If S

The lamp has one function, to produce a white light that the optical engine uses to produce the picture. When a lamp ages it grow dimmer. That's all it can do. If your picture is anything other than dimmer (or no picture if the lamp fails) then it's not the lamp.
