Hls-5679w Picture Problems

What causes the picture to to be all blue with vertical red/blue lines at the top 1/4 of the screen?

with out actually seeing the picture and what happens with the menu graphics, I am going to guess that the problem is likely in the optical engine and therefor either the DMD board or the DLP chip.  a technician should look at this for you to determine which is bad.
