Dvd Burner Is Dead

The DVD burner in my HDRW720 spins the disk, opens and closes the tray, but does not recognize any disk whether blank, recorder, finalized, or commercially sold movies. What dvd burner can I use to replace this one. The hard disk is almost full and I have no way to burn the disks.
