I Am Adding Something To My Question - I Hope That's Legit. No, Sorry, Re My

last note: I think I was wrong, maybe I CAN stream audio from PC to Onkyo via my Sony TV. There is a digital optical OUT on the TV, and there is a digital optical IN on the Onkyo. So I could I suppose connect:PC to TV by HDMI, and TV to Onkyo with an optical cable. WOULD THIS WORK?I don't have an optical cable, and can't try this method without purchasing one; that is why I'm asking you first.Well, it would not be as convenient as streaming directly from PC to Onkyo. I'd have to have the TV on, plus every time I switch from other components to the PC and vice versa I'd have to not only switch between input sockets on the Onkyo, but also switch between input HDMI sockets on the TV. (Plus I think I may also lose the TV display of the Onkyo menus - won't I?) So I'm still eager to hear if there's a way of streaming from the PC to the Onkyo, not via the TV.Thank you!
