If your Onkyo AV receiver is not powering on, it could be due to a bad power IC or output transistor that causes the DC to want to go to the speakers, which fires the protect circuit . You can try resetting the Onkyo Protect Mode by unplugging the power cord from the wall and leaving it unplugged for at least one hour. Make sure all speaker and audio cables are removed from the back of the receiver. Reconnect the power cord after at leaast one hour has passed. Turn on the receiver and trn the volume to the maximum .
