Max Number Of Titles Dubbed?
Is there a maximum number of titles you can dub from the HD to a DVD? I thought the criteria was simply the amount of data, usually 4200 db. I dubbed about 30 titles but still have 3700 db available on the disc and It won't allow any further dubbing....It won't even highlight the 'HDD to DVD' option...only the 'DVD to HDD' option. What's wrong?

The recording limit per timer setting is 8 hours. You need to set three timers for 24 hour continuous coverage recording (with expected 1 min to 2 min resetting buffer inbetween any setting,) so that if you had a recording timer set for 1 PM to 9 PM, and another to continue from 9 PM to 5 AM, then 5 AM to 1 PM, the recorder will see the upcoming timer and shut down the earlier recording a minute to two minutes early. This is dependent on how long the earlier recording timer has recorded, so it can write the table of contents information to the Hard Drive. If you have recordings set up to record onto a DVD, then formatting the TOC information may take longer as the disc is filled. Also, shorter timer record durations (say, 2 hours per timer) will yield smaller "Off" times between set timer recordings. I believe the limitation to 8 hours is still applied when recording to DVD with a Double-Layer disc as well, even though I haven't tried this!
